IT services provider ASG (ASX:ASZ) has penned a $35 million contract with WA power utility Western Power.
The contract is to provide services for an initial five year term, with two extension options of one year each.
Under the terms of the contract, ASG Group will deliver services to Western Power including data centre facilities, mid-range infrastructure, network and VoIP services.
Murray Rosa, ASG Group's chief officer of sales said the contract was a significant achievement that highlighted ASG's strong and growing position in the Australian IT marketplace.
The deal comes less than a month after ASG inked a three-year, $23 million contract to supply IT services to the Western Australian Education department.
Western Power is responsible for the distribution and transmission of electricity in the South West of Western Australia, connecting electricity to 965,000 homes and businesses each day.
