Mobility Q&A: Keyspace
David Williams

What mobile device management or mobile security solutions do you deploy?

We generally work with one of two options, either using the MDM component of our managed services automation platform N-able, or rolling out a security suite and adding in the MDM such as Bitdefender Security for Mobile Devices or Kaspersky Security for Mobile.

When did your company first get involved in this area?

We’ve been providing mobile security since BlackBerry’s and have watched this space grow exponentially as smartphones and tablets have become ubiquitous enterprise devices.

What are your credentials?

Keyspace are specialists in the IT security arena with more than 50 years' combined IT security experience. As the market has evolved, we have been there, ensuring businesses are protected.

Have you heard about any cool MDM or mobile security technology lately?

Android will be the next top secret-rated smartphone with Project Fishbowl currently in testing. This is likely to be the last nail for BlackBerry

Can you tell us about a recent client project?

We’ve recently rolled out managed services to a business in the logistics sector. An essential part of the proposal was being able to provide services not only for their office workforce but also for their tablet and smartphone devices in their trucks. It simplifies their IT operations and gives them peace of mind that their entire fleet is secure.

What is driving customers towards MDM or mobile security?

We’re finding that as our clients migrate to more mobile workforces that need access to internal or cloud resources, they are seeing a greater need to secure their data. SMB are often unaware of the risks.

Mobility is…?

The biggest driving force in IT at the moment. Without mobility, cloud wouldn’t be where it is. As businesses require their data any time, any where, mobility is becoming more essential to everyday operations.
