US-based storage vendor Network Appliance has appointed XSI Data Solutions to resell its storage products in Australia.
Max Goldsmith, CEO at XSI Data Solutions, said the new range would help the reseller target larger enterprise storage accounts.
'Network Appliance is a company on a roll. They have significant market differentiation which resonates very well with the IT and storage managers we deal with daily,' he said.
The range had a single operating system for both SMB and large corporate products, Goldsmith said.
Simon Green, MD at Network Appliance, said the company wants to broaden its sales channel and lift revenue in Australia and New Zealand.
Disk, tape and network-based storage gear reseller XSI Data Solutions had an 'excellent reputation', he said.
'Our product range complements XSI's expertise nicely and offers NetApp the chance to extend its penetration into key markets,' Green said.
XSI Data Solutions, which was formed from a merger with rival e-DataGroup in 2002, claims to be the largest Australian-owned and managed data storage company. The reseller has 45 engineers across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra and Adelaide sites.
