Health Support Services, on behalf of the WA health system, has issued a tender for the provision of managed email security and support services.
These services will protect over 70,000 Microsoft 365-hosted mailboxes, 60 email domains, 17 million monthly inbound unfiltered messages and 1.8 million monthly outbound messages.
The current email gateway environment is being replaced due to end-of-life considerations, evolving threat activity, and the need for enhanced telemetry, analytics, and automated threat-response capability.
The new solution is required to deliver advanced threat detection and filtering; URL rewriting and malware inspection; email authentication monitoring and hosting (DMARC, DKIM, SPF); and Targeted Attack Protection (TAP) insights and analytics.
It will also need to deliver automated threat response workflows; phishing simulation and awareness training platform; reporting, dashboards, telemetry, and executive insights; and integration with Microsoft 365 and WA Health SIEM/SOC functions.
The procurement will establish a new enterprise-wide managed service providing capabilities including in-and-outbound mail filtering, phishing protection and reporting, security awareness and training, and email authentication management.
The successful provider must complete implementation and transition to the new solution within eight weeks of contract award, in line with the anticipated commencement date of 1 August 2026.
The tender closes on 2:30 PM (WA time) on 19 June 2026.
