In an interview with CRN at CeBIT in Sydney Monday, Marc Englaro vice president of IP telephony company Fonality said hosted telephony systems are reliable for Australian small businesses.
"It's only been the last couple of years where you could feel very comfortable with bringing VoIP into a business and that being your primary communication channel," said Englaro.
He said, "Just because it's VoIP it doesn't mean it's not treated in the same respect and reliability than a regular phone system."
US-based Fonality's Australian operations kicked off in November 2007, after merging with CRM provider Insightful Solutions.
