Veeam has bolted on a new perks program for its partners that will reward the channel with virtual prepaid Visa cards for their sales efforts.
The Veeam Partner Perks program will offer rewards to partners that close eligible deals, complete certifications and implement marketing campaigns.
The new perks program doesn't replace the incentives already offered to partners under its partner program. The program is for Veeam partners of all sizes and has already been soft-launched to the Australian channel.
Veeam channel sales manager Belinda Jurisic told CRN the reason for offering up prepaid Visa cards as a reward instead of business-related initiatives was that the vendor had already introduced a slate of similar incentives earlier this year, which haven't been replaced with the introduction of the perks program.
“Veeam has always been, and will always be, a channel-focused business," Jurisic said.
“Our partners leverage Veeam to deliver market-leading data protection solutions to over 10,000 customers across Australia and New Zealand. Our new rewards program is all about strengthening those partnerships, and working closely with our partners to support their businesses.”
Veeam's partner program received a facelift in February this year to include components from international partner programs, including new opportunities through deal reg and alliance partners such as HPE, Cisco, NetApp, VMware and Pure Storage. The new program rewards partners that identify new business rather than partners deal reg being irrespective of who found that opportunity.
At the same time, Veeam also bumped up the revenue requirements for its platinum, gold and silver program tiers by 25 percent, which Jurisic said was to support growth in ANZ.
