UXC company Skilltech Consulting Services has won a $17 million Southern Water contract for the installation of meter replacement services in Tasmania.
Skilltech would install water meters to Southern Water’s unmetered customers to support the legislated introduction of time of use pricing.
Southern Waters' executive manager of the Water Metering Project, Danny Sutton, said Skilltech was selected "because of their demonstrated field experience with water meter installations".
The project would commence in April and was expected to completed in 15 months.
Skilltech had 800 staff nationwide and 24 water, electricity, and gas company customers.
