Infotronics Software Pty is a Melbourne-based distributor of virtualisation, virtual desktop infrastructure and server-based computing. It also offers storage, disaster recovery, security, email management and system utilities.
Under the distribution agreement, Infotronics will lead sales, partner recruiting and support efforts throughout Australia and New Zealand for the company’s award winning analytics software. The product simplifies advanced planning and management tasks for virtualisation and application delivery environments, said Phil Lancaster, technical director at Infotronics.
“Turning activity data captured by servers into actionable information resonates well with our partners, and their customers from XTS are unique because they enable integrators to build closer ties to their customers by helping them manage their IT infrastructure and ultimately their business more effectively,” claimed Lancaster.
The companies will initially focus their go-to-market activities on virtualisation solutions from Citrix, including the newly released XenApp environment and existing Presentation Server implementations.
A media spokesperson for Infotronics told CRN that XTS initially looked for a distributor in the Australian market and it sought Infotronics out.
“XTS provides products within our core focus and we see an immediate market for its products. Although we are based in Melbourne, we also have a presence in Sydney and are currently following up all interest in the XTS’ product range,” she said.
According to the spokesperson, negotiations for the distribution agreement between the two companies began late last year.
