Security products distributor and solution provider Unixpac has launched a series of blogs to encourage communication between Unixpac, its partners and customers.
NSW-based Unixpac said in a statement the security-focused blogs were a marketing tool that would help educate partners and customers by encouraging two-way communication.
"Blogs are quickly becoming a necessary tool for business-to-business contacts," the company said in its release. "Everything started from personal blogs, but today blogging has taken another step, helping organisations in marketing communication."
Unixpac believed it was one of the earliest companies to adopt blogging instead of "static world wide web pages" as a marketing tool for the IT security market, the company said.
"The exciting portfolio of Unixpac assembled IT solutions deserves a new form of media, more suited to the needs of clients eager to ask questions or comment on the technology," Unixpac said in a statement.
Unixpac's blog, at http://blog.unixpac.com.au, would provide an informal, interactive online platform for IT security managers, professionals and others interested in IT security issues, the company said.
It would also include solutions and information about on top products and topics such as patch management, change management, intrusion prevention and email security, Unixpac said.
"The blog also provides information about top companies from the IT security sector," the company said.
