Unisys has won a deal to provide IT services to Alphawest's enterprise customers.
Unisys will provide remote and on-site IT support, installations, moves and changes from its Smart On-Site Services portfolio.
Alphawest would maintain control of the help desk and allocate tickets to the Optus-owned IT services provider. Alphawest technicians would provide the service under the Alphawest badge.
Ian Smith, acting chief executive at Alphawest, said it required a services partner aligned with industry best practice methodologies.
Scott Whyman, vice president and general manager of global outsourcing and infrastructure services at Unisys Asia Pacific, said: “Because Unisys services are based on the ITIL framework and are ISO-certified, we can assist organisations like Alphawest to offer consistently reliable service and support to their clients even as they continue to expand."
Unisys also has a private label arrangement in Australia for EMC.
