The (non-Apple) tablet market has just suffered another blow, with Telstra announcing it has withdrawn the T-Touch Tab from sale.
The $299 T-Touch Tab tablet has been axed by the telco following a year of disappointing sales. In related news, Telstra confirmed it would begin selling the Apple iPad 2, with Wi-Fi + 3G and post-paid data plans arriving in the coming weeks.
Telstra's budget tablet came with a 768MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a resistive 7in touchscreen and ran on Android 2.1.

The T-Touch is not the only tablet that has failed to meet sales expectations. Earlier in the year, the HP TouchPad was axed in Australia after less than a week of being on sale. Meanwhile, the Blackberry PlayBook had its price slashed at Harvey Norman last week by almost 50 per cent (albeit for one weekend only).
In other news, one of the most promising tablets, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, has been barred from sale in Australia following a successful court injunction by Apple.
