Australian software company TechnologyOne is set to appoint Lee Thompson as new operating officer for sales and marketing.
Thompson's role will be to help the company's customers "save costs and drive business success by embracing the benefits of cloud computing".
TechnologyOne's executive chairman, Adrian Di Marco, said Lee had "extensive experience leading very large and successful sales teams for some of the world's most successful IT companies".
Thompson, who has over 20 years experience in both management and software solution sales, has previously held the position of senior vice president for corporate sales at Salesforce and vice president for Asia Pacific technology commercial sales at Oracle.
The appointment has seen TechnologyOne's former sales and marketing officer, Roger Phare, promoted to spearhead market growth overseas as the company's operating officer for the United Kingdom.
The UK will become a "significant platform for growth in the near future", predicted Di Marco.
The promotion comes in the wake of TechnologyOne's recent unveiling of its new cloud-based software solution, Connected Intelligence.
