Sydney's UltraServe has become the first cloud platform provider for SAP-owned commerce software suite Hybris.
UltraServe's infrastructure-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service offerings have been listed under the brand name SmartStack within Hybris Extend – an "online marketplace that makes it easy for Hybris clients to select quality solutions".
Hybris counts the likes of General Electric, Thomson Reuters, 3M, Levi's and Nikon as customers.
Founder and chief executive of UltraServe, Samuel Yeats, said: "Being part of the Extend marketplace strongly validates our capability and allows us to service even more customers.
"While it’s difficult to put a number around that, we expect to at least double our current growth rate," said Yeats. "Hybris Extend is a key part of our strategy to get greater traction in the rest of Europe, the Americas and of course, continue to expand our footprint into Asia."
A statement from the infrastructure provider said that as SmartStack builds an environment, UltraServe puts it through "continual load, security and penetration testing" so that code is "tested and battle-hardened" before promotion into production.
"After go-live, we go a step further by proactively monitoring and managing not only the infrastructure and operating system, but the actual application itself," Yeats said. "If an issue arises, we identify the problem with the integrator and manage the issue through to resolution."
UltraServe was established in 2000, but has recently moved away from providing its own infrastructure to reselling Amazon Web Services. In April, Yeats sold 40 percent of the company to raise funds for overseas expansion. Internode founder Simon Hackett and former iiNet executive John Lindsay are respectively involved with the company as shareholder and board member.
