Software developer Mega International opens Sydney office

Business and IT transformation software development vendor Mega International has broadened its reach to six continents with the opening of its Sydney office, its ninth worldwide.

Opening last week, Mega’s Sydney office will be overseen by Nicolas Betbeder-Matibet from his Singapore office, where he has more than 10 years of service under his belt with Mega across roles in Asia Pacific and France.

Betbeder-Matibet said the Australian expansion was an ambitious project for Mega.

"From 2014 to 2016, working with local partners, we saw very strong growth of our business in ANZ, with leading local organisations adopting our solutions to manage their digital transformation and enterprise architecture," he said.

"As the digital transformation is now an undeniable strategic objective for companies in ANZ, the challenges they address with our solutions have become more and more critical to them.

"The combination of a clear momentum with new customers and the wider support required to address more critical objectives is why we have decided to set-up a strong capability in Australia."

The software company is known for its flagship product HOPEX, a suite of solutions designed to provide companies an interactive view of the most important aspects of their business and IT components. The software is split across five major sections, covering enterprise architecture, IT portfolio management, business process analysis, governance, risk and compliance and platform and shared services. HOPEX is complemented by HOPEX cloud, which can host all of the vendor's applications to provide continuous uptime.

Betbeder-Matibet said the company had set its sights on Australia with the hopes of serving strong and growing demand for business transformation software.

"In 2017 and 2018, we plan to significantly expand the base of customers benefitting from our SaaS solutions and, at the same time, create more and more value for customers already using some of our solutions," he said.

With the Sydney outfit set to work with Mega’s Singapore team to serve organisations across both regions, chief executive Lucio de Risi said Australia and New Zealand were strategic regional markets for the vendor.

“There are many large, complex organisations, with revenues in the billions, in this region. Our solutions very naturally provide tremendous value to those enterprises pursuing business transformation as the path to success in the global economy," he said.

Mega’s other international offices are located in France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Singapore, the UK and the US
