Telecom and utilities provider Service Steam has appointed Leigh Mackender as managing director.
Mackender replaces Terry Sinclair, who has departed Service Stream after disagreements regarding the future direction of the company.
Service Stream chairman Peter Dempsey said: "Terry worked closely with the board over the last few months to complete an agreed strategy for the next three years and it was unfortunate that he and the board were not able to agree on the best way to implement that strategy."
Dempsey added: "Leigh's skills and personal characteristics will ensure that he really takes hold of this exciting role and builds on the solid foundations on which the company now stands."
Company director Brett Gallagher will take on a temporary executive role to support Leigh as he settles into this new directorial role.
Mackender has been a part of the Service Stream leadership team for a number of years; the appointment follows the company's recent contract wins including renewal of the NBN 'Greenfields' contract.
