Samsung has lifted the lid off its next-generation Exynos 5 Dual processor, the latest chip for its mobile devices.
The new 1.7GHz dual-core processor has enough grunt to support a massive 2560x1600 resolution as well as dealing with 1080p 60fps video and 3D graphics.
USB 3.0, SATA 3 and wireless display support throw the Exynos 5 into full-blown PC territory, and all while knocking power consumption down by 30 per cent.
Samsung claims it will offer twice the performance of an Exynos 4 Dual 1.4GHz. The company is yet to announce which products will include the new chip.
