Synnex's global distribution business saw 20 percent growth, according to the company's quarterly financial results.
President and CEO Kevin Murai said there had been solid growth across all of Synnex's businesses with "our IT business delivering revenue growth ahead of our expectations".
The Technology Solutions arm of the company, formerly known as Distribution, earned revenue of US$2.9 billion for the quarter ending 28 February. When adjusted for currency effects, the growth was 24 percent from the prior fiscal year quarter.
The period also included the acquisition of IBM's customer care services business, which contributed US$74.5 million revenue to Synnex's books.
"During the quarter, we had a successful initial close of the IBM CRM acquisition with the majority of employees and business successfully brought on board," said Murai.
Murai expects the strong demand for its IT business will continue.
"We believe the strength we have recently experienced in IT demand will continue in our second quarter," he said.
"We are on track with our integration of the combined Concentrix business and expect to close the IBM customer care acquisition in the remaining countries in the coming months."
The strong international figures come as the local arm upgrades its operations, including last month's unveiling of a new $34 million logistics centre in western Sydney and a new online ordering portal.
