Melbourne-based IT provider S Central has bought AGM IT Pty for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition of NSW-based systems integrator, AGM IT, will create a national IT services company with around 130 people and 5,000 customers across Australia.
The AGM IT business also includes its subsidiary IT On-Demand Pty, which provides hosted datacenter solutions.
Peter Mavridis, managing director at S Central said its purchase of AGM IT will enable the combined group to provide a broad mix of IT solutions in the area of applications, data and communications infrastructure.
“The combined entity would have strong capabilities in the areas of virtualisation and storage. It would enable it to ramp up its IT on Demand services, including its hosted infrastructure offering,” he said.
The latest acquisition follows S Central’s buy-up of DA Library Technologies in the past week last week.
Mavridis said the company is continuing its national expansion plan and are now well on the way to achieving our targeted revenue of $100 million in the next 18 months.
S Central’s customers include Coles Myer, Telstra, Priceline, ANZ Bank, Sydney Water, QBE, and Patrick Corporation.
