The search covers every type of information associated with a record, including data fields, emails, notes, linked documents and knowledge base articles.
Shane Parsons, sales director at Aaromba, a GoldMine reseller for FrontRange in Australia said the feature makes it easier to access information in real-time.
He said if a user wants to find some account information from a customer that they gave you six months ago, or a previous sales proposal, with most solutions you would need to know exactly where to look for that data.
"With GoldMine, just one search will find it for you, regardless of where it was saved. This one feature alone has potentially huge benefits to users," said Parsons.
"What impresses us most about FrontRange's recent GoldMine release is that as a CRM vendor they listen to customer requests for product enhancements and technology compatibility needs.
"This is demonstrated in the redesign of the project / opportunity manager in GMPE 8.5 and support of the recently released Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003."
GMPE 8.5 enhancements include: revised navigation, auto-complete text entry, cross-validation of information to improve data quality and faster grouping and filtering of list results and full account visibility for different stakeholders.
Greg Anderson, GoldMine general manager at FrontRange Solutions said with GMPE 8.5 it has created a search engine within a CRM application.
"This helps users access detailed information much faster and thus increases both the speed and profitability of each customer interaction," he said.
