The acquisition will strengthen Polycom’s distribution capabilities within the Australian market.
According to Michael Chetner, country manager A/NZ for Polycom, the company now has ‘two best-in-class partners’ to support its dual distribution strategy, each with very clear and differentiating value propositions which address the whole reseller base in the ICT community.
"We are very excited about Transition Systems' entry to Australia, which gives our resellers the opportunity to leverage the resources of an Asia Pacific distributor combined with the support of a management team that know Polycom solutions and our business,” he said.
“Transition Systems Australia can hit the ground running in supporting our resellers here." added Chetner.
Chetner said Transition Systems has a strong partner base in the systems integration space and service provider market in Asia Pacific.
He said its acquisition of Unitel Distribution represents a fantastic opportunity to leverage its regional experience.
“The entry of Transition Systems to Australia and the acquisition of Unitel further strengthens the relationship with Polycom and provides an opportunity for its resellers to leverage a transnational company that has a fast-growing, aggressive management team dedicated to growing the business in Australia”, said Mike Beesley, country manager for Transition Systems Australia.
