Perth-based CSO Group has won a contract with the New South Wales Department of Communities and Justice to provide mail filtering services.
The contract is worth $2.94 million for a three-year term from May 2019 to June 2021.
Tender documents said the software provided is for mail filtering services and the “supply of managed ICT security services for web, cloud and email.”
A department spokesperson declined to provide specifics of the deal due to security concerns, but said the procurement was done via direct engagement and involves a technology platform that other government departments are currently using.
Headquartered in Perth with an office in Sydney, CSO Group bills itself as a cyber security services, advisory and consulting provider. Some offerings include web and cloud security, endpoint security, managed security services, among others.
The company lists Symantec as a vendor partner on its website, but also lists fellow Perth-based security resellers R-Group International, Churchill Consulting and SC8.
