Palo Alto Networks has announced major updates to its NextWave partner program, adding technical training, marketing tools, deal registration updates and pay-for-performance enhancements.
The vendor will deliver a pay-for-performance partner profitability model in a phased approach. Distributors and resellers may be rewarded with rebates, incentives and/or discounts based upon defined parameters and the value they bring to each deal.
The program will also include "enriched deal registration infrastructure" and aims to simplify the process of confirming and rewarding partner-sourced opportunities.
Partners will have access to new pre-sales technical accreditation allowing them to deliver comprehensive demos, evaluations, Application Visibility and Risk (AVR) Reports and Ultimate Test Drive (UTD) hands-on demo programs.
The MobileWave channel application will also be updated, including the addition of mobile deal registration.
The overhaul comes after Westcon unified its relationship with the vendor at a global level.
Earlier this year Palo Alto Networks also formalised its distribution strategy.
