Optus partners with Department of Health

Optus has been selected to deliver a fully managed Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) solution for the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, supporting its digital transformation.

Under the agreement, Optus will provide secure and modern telecommunications services, including SD-WAN, voice and data carriage and mobile services.

The initial contract runs for three years, with options to extend for another three years.

Optus' VP of major enterprise accounts, Stuart Pritchard, said the telco is proud to support the Department with secure, reliable connectivity that enhances operations and employee experience.

"This reflects our commitment to delivering smart, scalable solutions through strong collaboration with our technology partners," he said.

Fellow government department Services Australia announced it was switching providers for contact centre management services from Telstra to Optus back in 2024.
