Optus exec Masseh Haidary joins Canberra reseller Delv as CEO

Canberra-based services provider Delv has appointed Optus' head of ACT and federal government strategy Masseh Haidary as its new chief executive.

Haidary will replace Sam Smair on July 28th. Smair will remain as Delv's chairman, focusing on “exploring new markets” and establishing regional partnerships.

Delv offers enterprise mobility consulting, app development and professional services, using products from partners including Optus, Microsoft, Citrix, Apple and IBM.

Smair hailed Haidary as “an exceptional individual and one of the most respected leaders in our industry”, citing his 20 years experience in the services and technology industry in both government and enterprise.

“He will guide Delv through our growth and expansion of our operational mobility services across multiple regions in Australia,” Smair said.

Haidary has served in his role at Optus since 2016. Prior to that, he worked at Salmat, Hollard Insurance and HCF .

“It is my role as the CEO to execute on the vision and strategy at Delv,” Haidary said.

“My track record reflects a strong focus on strategic leadership with an underlying focus on investing in our people to realise our vision.”
