Optus has unveiled two new prepaid plans to cover the needs of two different types of users, offering either more data or more days for each recharge.
The telco announced its Epic Data and Epic Value plans, offering 5GB of data or a 42-day expiry respectively on each $30 recharge.
In addition to the 5GB, customers with the Epic Data plan can avail an additional 10GB to stream Netflix, Stan and ABC iview, while the Epic Value plan includes 1GB of data.
“These new epic prepaid plans allow our customers to experience premium content delivered via our winning premium network, at a great price,” Optus managing director for marketing and product Ben White said.
Both plans come with unlimited standard national talk and text per recharge and allow customers to rollover data up to 50GB over into their next recharge if recharged before expiry.
Optus last month had a court ruling in its favour over its “Empires end” advertising campaign criticising rival Telstra, lifting a ban filed earlier this month on displaying the ads.
The company also said that its Virgin Mobile retail stores will start closing their doors as early as this week, with all 36 locations expected to shut for good by the end of this month.
