NTT Communications ICT Solutions has been awarded a $9.3 million contract to provide cloud services for the Department of Social Services (DSS).
The new contract will help the DSS to reduce the cost of providing services over time by adopting cloud services to align with the Australian Government Cloud Computing Policy, which aims to eliminate duplication and fragmentation.
NTT will provide cloud services that cover software, platform and infrastructure as-a-service.
CRN understands the new cloud could be used by training environments to increase the uptake by the community and other organisations.
The new infrastructure can also help integrate development and testing environments and allow for agile environments, to align delivery with the Australian Government Digital Transformation program.
The contract runs for three years, according to the government contract notice.
NTT Communications is a 2016 CRN MVP, evolved out of past mergers between service providers including Frontline Systems, Harbour MSP and NTT Australia.
