The NSW Police Force has issued a request for proposal seeking a modern employee engagement platform to help address workforce challenges, including staff retention and recruitment.
Closing on June 10, the tender outlines requirements for a comprehensive platform to gather feedback from the organisation's 22,000 employees across operational, specialist and administrative roles.
"A deeper insight into our people is needed by promoting the capture and engagement of employee experiences through survey feedback to uncover root causes of employee disengagement and attrition," the tender document states.
The new system will replace existing survey tools with a platform capable of integrating feedback from different employee surveys throughout the employee lifecycle to deliver a holistic view of the workforce.
Technical specifications emphasise stringent security requirements, with the platform needing to comply with Australian government standards including the Australian Information Security Manual (ISM) for handling information classified up to PROTECTED level.
Other technical requirements include single sign-on (SSO) capability, integration with existing NSW Police systems such as SAP and Microsoft 365, and support for accessing surveys on various devices including police-issued mobile devices and computers.
The platform must provide data sovereignty and residency within Australia; no data to be stored or processed outside the country.
The solution can be offered either as software-as-a-service (SaaS) or an internally hosted system.
NSW Police anticipates entering into a three-year agreement with the successful respondent, with a focus on addressing workforce challenges highlighted in its 2023-24 Annual Report.
