NSC denies TBS Avaya buyout
Avaya reseller and local voice and data integrator, NSC has categorically denied buying Telstra Business Services’ (TBS), Avaya business, as claimed by media reports.

TBS (a Telstra spin-off) purchased Touchbase Australia's Avaya assets, including 30 staff, customer relationships and equipment around 12 months ago.

An NSC media representative has told CRN that it has not bought TBS’ Avaya’s assets but is subcontracting the account management of Avaya for TBS.

“The deal has been signed and work will start soon. It’s just a subcontracting deal and we will be looking after TBS’ customers nationally,” he said. “TBS could do it themselves but what they bought from Touchabase doesn’t give them the national coverage we have.”

The media spokesperson for NSC has already moved 10 staff across from TBS. However they couldn’t give out anymore details as both TBS and Avaya weren’t ready to comment on the deal.
