The Nortel Lifetime Warranty covers all of the company's stackable Ethernet solutions including Nortel's ERS 2500 series, ERS 4500 series, ERS 5000 line and the ERS 5600 products, which serve both data centre and core deployments.
The Nortel Lifetime Warranty includes: Lifetime technical support; advanced technical support; Lifetime next business day replacement for hardware in North America and next-day shipment for the rest of the world; and optional software subscription updates.
In an interview with CRN, Adam Kleemeyer, enterprise product and solution marketing Asia
at Nortel said this enables customers to chart their network future with unprecedented confidence and flexibility.
"Nortel resellers will now be able to offer to their customers warranty and cost-effective support options," he said.
"This will further enable our resellers to differentiate their offerings to customers."
Kleemeyer said Nortel chose to offer lifetime warranty because it allows our resellers to provide their customers the ability to plan the future of their businesses with confidence.
"The lifetime warranty will provide our resellers with an even greater value proposition when positioning Nortel Ethernet Routing Switches to their customers," he said.
