Nextgen Distribution has appointed Gavin Lawless from Netsuite to lead its next steps in growth as its new director of growth.
He commences his role tomorrow across all of the Nextgen group of companies, which include Bang, Optima, Connect and Orbus Capital.
Lawless will be responsible for ensuring the distributor’s growth across key partners, current and future vendors, and acquisitions in line with its strategy for the ANZ region.
“At Nextgen we are reinventing distribution through innovation and execution, which is all underpinned by aggressive growth,” Nextgen chief executive John Walters said.
“To ensure this remains a key part of our future success, we have decided to establish a dedicated role and Gavin’s experience, drive and leadership style is a perfect fit.”
Lawless joins from Netsuite, where he was director of sales over the past year. He has also worked in various channel and sales leadership roles with Infor, Avnet Australia (now Tech Data), CA Technologies and energy management consulting firm Out Performers. In 2001 Lawless joined distributor Express Data, now part of Dicker Data.
“I have known John Walters for a number of years and I have watched Nextgen grow from a startup. The success and growth they have created from being innovative and focused in the enterprise market has been impressive,” Lawless said.
