Global contractor Multiplex has reached a major construction milestone at NEXTDC’s P1 Perth, topping out Stage Two of the data centre development.
As part of Stage Two, Multiplex installed the largest satellite antenna array in Western Australia (WA).
Located north of Perth’s CBD, the five-level building represents the fifth data centre Multiplex has been contracted on by the ASX-listed Australian tech giant.
Stage Two of P1 Perth will double the data centre’s current IT capacity, and now that Stage Two of P1 Perth has reached its tallest point, Multiplex will commence fit-out of the building’s plantrooms, offices, and new data hall.
Future works will include the fit-out of two more data halls, plus expansions to central plant and services infrastructure.
Practical completion of Stage Two is scheduled for Quarter 3 2026.
Previous data centres delivered by Multiplex for NEXTDC include the S2 Sydney data centre in Sydney’s Macquarie Park and more recently, Stages One and Two of S3 Sydney in Artarmon. Multiplex is currently completing the expansion of Stage Two at NEXTDC’s B2 Brisbane in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
