Mwave lands Apple authorised reseller stamp

Apple has accredited online retailer Mwave as an authorised reseller, officially enabling it to sell iPods and Apple's MacBook range.

The retailer hopes it will have access to the iPad and iPhone sometime down the line, said Mwave spokesperson Steve Grant.

Grant said Mwave presented Apple with reasons why it should achieve the status.

"We sat in the boardroom, and pitched it. They liked that we had made in roads in the PC market.

"We want to position ourselves as comprehensive computer and consumer electronics store and this was the one brand that was lagging," he said.

Grant said Mwave will purchase supplies from distributor Simmsm not direct from Apple.

Mwave director, Victor Lee said "this is a well deserved acknowledgement of Mwave's ability to reach consumers.

"Apple is a great fit for Mwave as we share a number of core values such as customer focus and providing current innovative products to consumers," he said.
