Motorola is reviewing its distribution strategy following the launch of its MobileME range of Bluetooth consumer wireless products.
The mobility vendor said it was now looking to build upon its traditional ICT and telco retail resellers to include more lifestyle retail areas.
John Demezieres, business manager MobileME Mobile Devices said current distributors Brightpoint, Roadhound, Cellnet and Force currently offered the vendor access to telco shops and consumer electronic mass merchants.
He said he the company wanted to widen distribution to include clothes, surf and ski outlets.
“Products like the, O ROKR, Bluetooth eyewear from Oakley is sold through Oakely shops," he said. "In August we will also come out with the next version of the Motorola Bluetooth Audex Jacket, which will be sold through ski and snowboarding shops.”
