Mitel has appointed Paul Glass to regional sales manager for West Australia and South Australia. He brings eight years of industry experience with specialist expertise in unified communications, collaborative architecture, networking and telecommunications business management.
Glass will be based in Mitel’s office in Perth, reporting directly into Frank Skiffingon, vice president for Mitel Australia and New Zealand.
Glass was previously the manager at Comscentre WA, where he helped grew the companies multi-site voice, video and data networks market share, and prior to that he worked at Jersey Telecom managing a large client base across the UK, APAC and the US markets.
At Mitel, he will be responsible for promoting the company's brand awareness in WA and SA, supporting the existing channel and developing stronger relationships with enterprise organisations from the government and private sector. Those clients include companies like Bunnings, Stratco, VetWest, Perth Wildcats and Roy Hill Mining.
According to Glass, “It’s important that the WA and SA markets are aware of our strengths and position in the UC environment; Mitel’s structure is low risk and has the unique ability to align and support any infrastructure, whether it is hosted in-house or otherwise. It’s great when a company is ready to be in the cloud."
"However, if they are not, they can deploy on-site and then simply transfer licenses without the need to retrain and redeploy," "He said "This is a big investment protection that ties into cost of ownership and return on investment. It’s not disruptive to the business.”
