Unified comms vendor Mitel has appointed 3D Networks as an Asia-Pacific (APAC) premier partner in an aim to bolster both companies' activities in the hospitality industry.
As a Mitel premier partner, systems integrator 3D Networks has gained access to support programs that include sales and technical training, pre- and post-sales support and a 24/7 support team.
Gwilym Funnell, Mitel vice president APAC, told CRN that the two companies both have a strong presence in the hospitality industry.
"3D is strong in the hospitality space and so are we globally," he said. "The ability for us to have an APAC-wide [partner] makes it a one-stop shop for Mitel for the whole of APAC," Funnell told CRN.
As a premier partner, "partners have access to a large amount of training, to get the skills to support the Mitel product," said Funnell. So far 3D Networks has 20 Mitel trained engineers.
Michael Grossfeldt, 3D Networks' national operations manager, said, "Engineers will leverage the existing regional Mitel accreditation to offer Australian customers a solution which caters to their specific needs."
Funnell said Mitel had to ramp up its training in the past six months "due to high demand from partners".
Mitel's existing relationship with other partners remains unchanged.
