Video technology company Milestone Systems has refreshed its partner program across the South Pacific region, introducing more accessible benefits and a renewed focus on certification-based rewards.
This includes Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the other Pacific islands.
The updated program links greater rewards to the number and level of certifications partners achieve, marking a shift towards recognising technical expertise and platform knowledge.
Partners who invest more heavily in building expertise around Milestone's open platform will receive enhanced benefits including exclusive support, marketing resources, and co-selling opportunities.
"Our revised program is about rewarding commitment," Milestone distribution channel manager and inside sales team lead Matt Veenstra said.
"The more our partners invest in building their expertise around Milestone's open platform, the more they'll get in return, whether that's exclusive support, marketing resources or co-selling opportunities.
"More education and certification basically unlocks more potential."
The program overhaul forms part of Milestone's broader growth strategy as demand for intelligent video solutions rises across multiple industries.
The company sees applications expanding beyond traditional security and safety into operational use cases across various sectors.
Milestone sees its channel network as crucial to delivering these solutions with local expertise and established customer relationships.
"We're excited to work with both long-standing and new partners who share our vision of going beyond security to deliver real business value," Veenstra said.
The refreshed channel program follows Milestone's recent decision to move more operational control back to the South Pacific region.
This restructuring aims to accelerate processes for customers and maximise local resources across the territory.
Veenstra's role at Milestone has been expanded due to his work with partners, Jordan Cullis, regional director for South Pacific at Milestone Systems, explained.
"Matt's new role reflects two things – the outstanding work he is doing with our partners across the region, and our ambition to energise our channel operations by providing a more focused and efficient service to our partners," Cullis said.
The company wants partners to grow alongside the business as Milestone diversifies its portfolio and encourages innovation with its open platform model.
"We want them to grow along with us, as we diversify our portfolio and encourage people to innovate with our open platform model," Cullis said.
