LogMeIn has released a version of its remote access tool for Android smartphones.
Available to download now from the Android Market app store, Ignition for Android enables users to remotely access PC and Mac systems from their smartphone.
The tool is a client for the LogMeIn service, which requires users to install a piece of host software on each Mac or PC they wish to access remotely.
Ignition for Android runs on handsets with version 1.5 of the platform and later, and lets users navigate their remote desktop using touch gestures to pan and zoom the display.
It also provides full remote keyboard access, including PC and Mac key combinations and shortcuts.
LogMeIn already provides similar support for Apple's iPhone and iPad devices.
The Android version costs $29.99 (£19.49).
