Logitech to launch articulating webcam to education market

Logitech has announced it will launch its new Logitech Reach articulating webcam to the education market in June.

Reach features a Logitech StreamCam mounted on a flexible arm that aims to assist with filming non-digital content during streamer sessions, in-person presentations, classes and conference calls.

The webcam allows for users to adjust the camera horizontally or vertically in a 360-degree range using one hand and shoot video in 1080p, 60fps quality.

Reach also allows for 4.3x lossless zoom with autofocus via an analogue button.

Logitech said the camera will retail at a suggested price of US$349.99.

“Logitech Reach responds to the growing need for an all-encompassing sharing solution, featuring a remarkably adaptable camera,” said Michele Hermann, head of education solutions at Logitech.

“Its user-centric design enhances the overall experience, offering a seamlessly positioned camera along multiple axes. This promotes effortless and comprehensive presentations, eliminating any potential for awkward setups.”

Reach's development was crowdfunded via a two-month Indiegogo Enterprises campaign that sought feedback from 2,100 backers.

“The Logitech Reach campaign had an incredible start, achieving its goal in less than five minutes and was more than 700% funded within two hours,” said Becky Center, Indiegogo CEO.

“In fact, Logitech Reach was the strongest ‘day one’ of any camera campaign on Indiegogo in 2023 and precisely what we and our backer community like to see – an innovative and compelling product from a legendary brand like Logitech.”
