Holding Redlich integrates Lexis Create+ to transform legal drafting in Microsoft 365

National law firm Holding Redlich is implementing Lexis Create+, an AI-powered and personalised legal drafting solution.

The new tool integrates agentic AI with LexisNexis legal research content and shared internal knowledge to create a drafting environment inside Microsoft 365.

Holding Redlich claims the result is faster, more accurate and consistently high-quality legal drafting in a single workspace.

Key features of Lexis Create+ include proprietary technology that links internal documents and clauses to drafting workflows, intending to make it easy to find and reuse past clauses and definitions.

It connects with iManage, SharePoint, Google Drive and other document management systems.

The tool also provides lawyers with direct access to LexisNexis content they subscribe to, supported by AI-powered drafting and summarisation tools.

To protect data integrity and confidentiality, Lexis Create+ uses advanced encryption, permission mirroring and robust access controls.

Accessible within Lexis Create+, Protégé is the legal generative AI assistant that works alongside users to deliver personalised drafts. Because it is embedded in Microsoft Word, it enables lawyers to refine documents, surface relevant clauses and precedents, and produce work within the same environment where they already draft.

Users can identify relevant case law and legal precedents, as well as locate proven language from their firm’s repository to strengthen legal arguments and drafting precision.

The tool also incorporates capabilities from LexisNexis’ acquisition of Henchman, which adds advanced clause management features to the drafting process, complementing Create+ proofreading and library tools.

Keren Smith, chief knowledge officer at Holding Redlich, said the firm was focused on realising the time-saving and quality-enhancing benefits of AI-enabled drafting.

“We are excited to unlock the efficiencies of Lexis Create+ to elevate both our internal workflows and the quality of service we deliver to clients," she said.

"Following the successful onboarding of our power users, we rolled out comprehensive training to all practitioners, focusing on precision prompting and rigorous fact-checking techniques,” Smith said.

“Embedding AI into the drafting process has enabled us to maintain accuracy and oversight while increasing the pace of document preparation. The technology supports our focus on delivering high-quality work while maintaining professional standards."
