Kogan tops NSW consumer complaints register again

Kogan once again retained the top spot of the NSW Fair Trading complaints register for May, despite a drop in complaints from April.

The online retailer registered 32 complaints for the month, down from 36 in April when it was in second place behind Samsung.

Most of the complaints were related to items listed under electrical, electronic, whitegoods and gas appliances, as well as mobile phones and accessories. On a per-issue basis, 23 of the complaints were concerning quality of goods.

Apple was in second place with 25 complaints, while The Good Guys was third with 23 complaints, although 20 were related to electrical goods.

April’s most-complained company Samsung, dropped to fifth with 20 complaints, down from 38. Like last month, most of the complaints were from its Sydney Olympic Park branch, getting 16 of the complaints.

Also making the list with at least 10 complaints for the month was Harvey Norman with 19, Bing Lee and JB Hi-Fi with 11 apiece, and LG Electronics with 10.
