Consumer technology resellers remain to be among the most-complained about companies in New South Wales for the month of October, taking four of the top five spots in NSW Fair Trading’s complaints register.
Kogan took the top spot with 36 complaints, followed closely by Harvey Norman at 33. Garnering the fourth and fifth posts are smartphone giants Apple and Samsung with 28 and 26 complaints respectively. JB Hi-Fi also made an appearance at seventh place with 20.
Other non-tech entries included motor vehicle retailers like Ford and Heartland Motors, as well as real estate agencies.
“By making the Complaints Register publicly accessible, we hope to give businesses such as these an incentive to deliver better customer service,” Commissioner for Fair Trading Rose Webb said.
Most of the complaints for Kogan, Harvey Norman and Samsung were under the electrical, electronic, whitegoods and gas appliances category, getting 16 and 12 complaints respectively.
Mobile phones and accessories were also causes for complaints for Apple, Samsung and Kogan, while laptops had the most complaints for JB Hi-Fi.
