Local VoIP vendor ISPhone has signed up telecommunications provider Arrow Voice and Data, to offer reseller partners a bundled business-grade VoIP service.
Under the agreement, Arrow plans to carry ISPhone's VoIP calls across its high-speed Symmetric High-Bit-Rate Digital Subscriber Loop (SHDSL) data network.
Gavin McDougal, managing director ISPhone, said the VoIP vendor partnered with Arrow after a successful nine-month trial.
However, before choosing Arrow, ISPhone looked at a number of ISP iiNET, PeopleTelecom and few others as well, he said.
“We have been looking for business grade service for a while now and most have ISPs claim to have business services but the technology was low, basic, business products,” he said.
“Arrow will provide our partners with a service level agreement from the point of where they make their call all the way to the end of the service customers.”
Before working with Arrow, ISPhone worked with customers to implement its VoIP product into their existing DSL carrier.
McDougal said the agreement between the two companies had no 'use-by date', although the VoIP vendor would not rule out going into the ISP sector in the future.
