Intermec opens service facility in New Zealand

The facility means that, for the first time, the Intermec Medallion and Medallion Complete service offering can be delivered "in-country" saving time and costs of cross Tasman freight.

"I am very excited about our new 'in-country' service capability" said Bruce Harrison service director, Intermec Technologies APAC.

"With this field service improvement, Intermec can remain confident that all our New Zealand customers continue to be serviced to the very high standard expected of both the Intermec hardware and the associated services," he added.

Medallion Complete covers virtually all repairs, including incidental equipment damage.

It is available on most Intermec data collection devices, including handheld mobile computers, scanners, fixed and mobile RFID readers, printers plus any accessories

"Our New Zealand partner, a wholly owned New Zealand company, is a very professional organisation that has delivered exceptional service in the New Zealand market since 1994," said Harrison.

"After reviewing each others' business, it was obvious to both parties that this partnership was very positive and built on both organisations desire to grow in the local market."
