Insight announces Pat Murphy as executive general manager

Insight Enterprises has appointed Pat Murphy as the company’s executive general manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Murphy started the position on 1 September after previously serving as APAC services general manager, joining the company in that role in 2014.

Insight APAC managing director Mike Morgan welcomed Murphy to the new role, saying: “It gives me great pleasure to announce Pat Murphy as our new ANZ executive general manager. This is a newly-created role in our APAC executive team.

“Pat’s tremendous experience and knowledge will enable us to bring together our supply chain optimisation business and our managed services under one leader.”

In addition to the four years with Insight under his belt, Murphy has an IT career spanning more than 22 years. Prior to joining Insight, he served as the managed services general manager for Data#3 for 15 years between 1999 and 2014.

“We have an outstanding team across the region, further boosted by the recent acquisition of Ignia. We are positioned to assist our clients to leverage their investments in technology to manage their business today, all the while driving transformation initiatives for tomorrow.”
