The Cisco and Linksys Turbo Challenge was open to Ingram Micro, Express Data and Westcon to see who could beat targets selling their products to the SMB market.
Nic Anastas group product manager, Cisco, leads a team of seven at Ingram Micro.
“It’s fantastic news. It’s nice to finally win something against the other distributors,” he said.
“Express Data always had a bigger share of selling Cisco products. It was a nice change to give my team a bigger profile considering all the hard work they have done. Now it’s time to reward them.”
Cisco and Linksys sets each company a monthly sales target and when they exceed this they get points towards a series of prizes. The more they go over target, the more they win.
Winners can choose from a list of prizes either off-road buggy racing, go-karting, Monster truck driving, a luxury wine tour or individual prizes such as electronic devices, or shopping vouchers.
Ingram Micro will receive a cash prize for its team on 24th October for achieving the highest QoQ growth from Q3FY08 to Q4FY08.
Anastas said the winnings will go back to the sales teams involved and the account managers.
