Ingram Micro appoints North American chief

Ingram Micro has named Keith Bradley executive vice-president and president of its North American region, effective 3 January 2005.

Bradley had been the serving as the interim North American region president since April 2004, after Kevin Murai was promoted from that position to become president of the California-based global distributor following the resignation of Mike Grainger.

"Under his direction, the North American region delivered excellent results," Murai said in a statement. "He has outlined specific goals that will enhance the profitability of the region with the coming year."

Ingram Micro bettered Wall Street expectations for revenue and net income for its third quarter ended 2 October.

The distributor earned US$77.3 million, or 49 cents per share, on US$6.02 billion in revenue for the quarter, which compares with net income of US$81.2 million on US$5.21 billion in sales for the year-ago quarter.

The company earlier this month reaffirmed earlier forecasts for its fiscal fourth quarter and said it expects sales in the US$7 billion to US$7.25 billion range, with net income of between US$53 million and US$59 million, excluding integration costs related to Ingram Micro's acquisition of Tech Pacific.
