Illumio has released a new observability product, Insights, as part of its breach containment platform.
Insights uses security graph technology to identify and quarantine threats throughout an organisation’s digital traffic, flows, and connections.
An Illumio representative said the product “visualises dangerous traffic and behaviour and prioritises lateral movement risks across environments”.
The company said customers using the product in preview found traffic from unsanctioned geographies, misconfigurations and “a surprising prevalence of unsanctioned usage of public LLMs”.
In response, new features were introduced to coincide with general availability, including a view of traffic and threats by geography, one-click isolation of compromised systems, and resource overview.
Illumio chief executive and founder Andrew Rubin said the biggest gap in cybersecurity is visibility.
“Illumio Insights gives security teams the visibility they’ve been missing, like what’s talking to what, where the risk is, and how to contain it fast," he said.
"This isn’t about more alerts, it’s about actionable intelligence that helps organisations stay ahead of real threats."
