IBM systems integrator Certus Solutions has appointed Mark Southey as its country manager for Australia.
Southey replaces former country manager Doug Gibson, who was appointed director at Certus six months ago.
In his new role, Southey will be responsible for executing the Australian business plan and to continue its transition into and IBM business solutions provider.
“Mark has gained extensive expertise in creating, leading and developing many organisations,” said Certus CEO Brian Allen. “His extensive management consultancy background and, in particular his experience with major transformations are the key reasons we appointed him to run our Australian business. I welcome him to the team.”
Southey has held a number of other executive positions at high profile companies, including director at Deloitte for two years, IBM Australia partner for four and a half years, director of strategic services at Oracle for a year and senior vice president of Capgemini for nearly three years.
Most recently, Southey was executive director at Catalyste.
