Hills is looking to target more enterprise projects by hiring security, IT and CCTV industry veteran Richard Bell as enterprise account manager for NSW.
Bell is tasked to develop sales opportunities in the enterprise sector and continue to develop relationships and support Hills' primary vendors, as well as supporting security integrators to leverage large national projects.
A Hills spokesperson told CRN that Bell's appointment reflects a number of sales opportunities along the eastern seaboard, with an equivalent position in Victoria and more.
Bell brings more than 30 years’ experience to the distie, including 11 years with Signature Security Group, managing IT infrastructure and computer systems.
NSW regional sales manager Gary Hickey said Bell’s hire would allow the company to develop capability to tender complete turnkey solutions encompassing system design, staging, technical support and training.
“We are excited about this new appointment. Richard has a strong background in
developing relationships with customers from all sectors, and will add depth to our sales
efforts across NSW,” Hickey said.
Hills head of sales for security, surveillance and IT Roger Edgar added: “Richard has a strong technical background and his experience in implementing integrated solutions for high profile and complex projects will be invaluable as we seek to develop sales channels into key verticals like government, commercial and infrastructure.”
Earlier this month, Hills said it was looking to save $5 million in its distribution business in an effort to return to profitability.
