Altech’s former national sales manager Kevin Hartin will head up the A/NZ channel team at graphics card manufacturer NVIDIA.
After two years Hartin left Altech in December 2006 for 'different’ pastures. At the time he had no certain plans, except for a “short contract to do some database work for a friend”.
In an exclusive interview with CRN, Hartin said he was approached by NVIDIA to take on the of A/NZ channel manager 12 months ago.
“There were some concerns for me regarding Altech because it’s an NVIDIA partner. After the usual process I resigned from my Altech in November to remove that conflict and then accepted the position,” he said.
Hartin said NVIDIA doesn’t sell its products to the Australian market and only to motherboard makers.
However he will be working closely with the manufacturer’s partners, like Altech and Synnex to implement channel programs and promote technology.
